Green Park Big Sleep Out in Support of Launchpad

The fourth Green Park Sleep Out is now open for registration.

This popular fundraising event returns to Green Park on 10 October 2018. It is an ideal time to support Launchpad, Reading’s homeless support charity ahead of another winter working with people in Reading who are homeless or vulnerable to homelessness.

Help give a second chance to people in Reading who have nowhere else to turn. Launchpad can be their first step to long term housing, health, education and self esteem. In 2016 we raised in excess of £10,000! Photos from the previous events:

About the event
The event starts on Wednesday 10 October at 19:00, with an evening of entertainment and inspiring stories about how Launchpad has made its impact on lives in Reading.

After a cardboard shelter-making competition, you will be able to bed down for the night with your sleeping bag and cardboard boxes for protection from the wind. Cardboard boxes and parcel tape will be supplied, but you will need to bring along your own sleeping bag.

The event will officially close at 07:00 on Thursday 11 October, with bacon rolls and coffee being served in the Conference Centre. You will then be free to leave to head home or back to your office.

This sleep out will be taking place on the lower deck of the car park of 100 Longwater Avenue. There will be toilets available in the building.
