Reading Half Marathon Road Closures | 17 March

The Green Park Challenge and Reading Half Marathon will be taking place on Sunday 17 March, and we are proud to be hosting the start line here on Green Park.

The Green Park Challenge will start at 08:30 and will see over 2,000 children and adults run a course of 3km into Madejski Stadium.

There will be roughly 18,000 people competing in the Reading Half Marathon, starting at 10:15. The route will take in Longwater Avenue and Brook Drive, before heading out on to the A33 from the North Entrance.

Due to the scale of this event, the estate will see a high number of footfall from competitors, spectators and event organisers. Therefore we would like to confirm the following road closures on Sunday 17 March:

North Entrance: closed from 08:00 and will reopen at 15:00

Longwater Avenue: closed from 08:00 and will reopen at 15:00

Brook Drive: closed from 08:00 and will reopen at 15:00

For Health & Safety reasons there will be many marshals around the estate as well as our own security team.
