There’s a wealth of birds around Green Park, particularly around Longwater Lake. Comorants, Grey Herons, Greylag Geese, Blackbirds and Mallards are just a few which make Green Park their home. Over the past five years the number of breeding birds has increased from 42 to 49. Last week our Biodiveristy Team spotted a Mallard nesting in a Willow tree.
Spring has sprung at Green Park with lots of colourful flowers blossoming all over. Longwater Avenue is looking very cheery with a beautiful array of daffodils. Stunning lilac crocus flowers have brightened up Brook Drive too!
